ROOFING SERVICES FAQS
What warranty comes with a new roof?
Your new roof comes with the manufacturer’s warranty on the shingles and materials. We install Owens Corning shingles, and coverage depends on the product line, so we’ll show you the warranty for the products on your estimate.
How long does a roof last?
The lifespan of a roof can vary based on materials, installation, and environmental factors. Generally, asphalt roofs last 20-30 years, while metal roofs can last up to 50 years or more with proper maintenance.
Do you offer free inspections?
Yes, we provide free roof inspections to assess your roofing needs. Our team will evaluate your roof's condition and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements, ensuring you have all the information necessary to make informed decisions.
Repair, Replacement and Materials
Should I repair or replace my roof?
A repair usually makes sense when the damage is limited and the rest of the roof is sound. We’ll show you photos and tell you which. Read how to decide.
What roofs do you install?
Owens Corning shingles, standing seam and exposed fastener metal, and TPO and EPDM flat roofs.
Do you also do gutters and siding?
Yes: seamless gutters and gutter guards, and siding.
Storm Damage and Insurance
Should I get an inspection before I file a claim?
Many homeowners do, so they know whether there’s damage worth a claim. The claim is yours to file, and your policy sets the deadline for reporting damage.
Can you be there when the adjuster comes?
Yes. Once you’ve filed, Kentucky law allows your roofer to talk with the insurance company’s representative about the damage. We can’t negotiate the claim for you.
Can you cover my deductible?
No. It’s illegal in Kentucky for a roofing contractor to pay, waive or rebate any part of your deductible.
What if my claim is denied?
If your insurer denies all or part of the claim in writing, Kentucky law lets you cancel an insurance-contingent roofing contract within five business days. Read how a hail damage claim works in Kentucky.
Can you tarp my roof after a storm?
Yes. Emergency tarping keeps water out until the repair.
Commercial Roofing
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes: offices, retail, warehouses, churches, schools, and HOA and condo communities. See commercial roofing.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes, on request for your vendor file.
